With apologies to the great Muhammad Ali, forgive me one more haptic metaphor: I think we "landed the plane" in H6 Consonants 2! The use of "floating popsicle sticks" to repair several consonants is one of the most valuable MT3s (movement, tone and touch techniques) of the KINETIK system, one that can be immediately applied by anybody, even without introduction to the complete method up to H5.And if you think that was H6 was "hard hitting," join us in H7 next week for the "Rhythm Flight Club," the real KINETIK "knock out punch!" (Boxing gloves or new rolls of toilet paper, optional!)
Heartfelt thanks to those of you who continue to support ActonHaptic with Locals. Many things are coming together this summer as we get ready for the launch of new v6.0 courses in September. We are also considering hosting the the KINETIK Method Instructor Certification Course here. There would be both regular posts, as before, and subscriber-only posts and video streaming. Beginning August 1st, as before, general social media posts will be here as well. Here is today's blogpost: https://hipoeces.blogspot.com/2022/07/upcoming-kinetik-courses-beginning.html
Have just finished extensive updating the website (www.actonhaptic.com) Check that out! Will also be updating LinkedIn based on new blogposts on upcoming conference presentations. BCTEAL conference is April 29th and 30th. Doing a couple of presentations there, "How to speak with confident vowels and beyond." with Eileen McWilliams, and "Spontaneous classroom engagement facilitating development of pragmatic competence."
Based on one of my favorite techniques!
