I think we are getting the "rhythm" of the webinars. Yesterday's was interesting in that we used to begin the Haptic Pronunciation Teaching course (before KINETIK) with single vowels and stress. It makes much more sense placed here in the process, I think you agree. Another change is that the haptic side of things, that is the gesture and touch is now much more systematic and, most importantly, easier to teach. You'll see that, especially, in the training videos--which will be available along with those for H#1~H#3 later this month. Subscribers will be sent links to those videos as they come out. They will also be available for purchase individually, beginning in August, once the KINETIK course opens. Keep in touch!
Heartfelt thanks to those of you who continue to support ActonHaptic with Locals. Many things are coming together this summer as we get ready for the launch of new v6.0 courses in September. We are also considering hosting the the KINETIK Method Instructor Certification Course here. There would be both regular posts, as before, and subscriber-only posts and video streaming. Beginning August 1st, as before, general social media posts will be here as well. Here is today's blogpost: https://hipoeces.blogspot.com/2022/07/upcoming-kinetik-courses-beginning.html
Have just finished extensive updating the website (www.actonhaptic.com) Check that out! Will also be updating LinkedIn based on new blogposts on upcoming conference presentations. BCTEAL conference is April 29th and 30th. Doing a couple of presentations there, "How to speak with confident vowels and beyond." with Eileen McWilliams, and "Spontaneous classroom engagement facilitating development of pragmatic competence."
Based on one of my favorite techniques!
